LIFE STORY
Thames Anthony Dempsey was born on November 6, 1943, to the late Ralph Haynes and Addie L. Henry Dempsey (Freddie Lee).
Thames loved church; his favorite Scripture was Psalm 91. He attended school at Williston High School. Later he left and went to Job Corp in Gainesville, Fl. to receive his high school diploma and graduate with honors.
Thames went to Truck Driving School and made a Career out of it. He drove trucks for many years, could handle those trucks being a little man, Shifting Grear and Blowing the horn. He could tell you all About trucks until his health started to fail. Enjoyed capturing memories through photos on Facebook and always took pride in his appearance and surroundings, keeping everything clean and tidy even when it meant raking the yard.
Thames was lovingly called "Cigarette"by those closest to him, he cherished his family and embraced life with enthusiasm. He was known for his gift of conversation, always engaging those around him including doctors and nurses with his friendly and lively spirit. Thames was a passionate supporter of the Florida State Seminoles and enjoyed watching NFL, Basketball, Baseball, and watching the Classic cowboy movies. He had a deep appreciation for music, whether it was country, blues, or spiritual songs. Thames found joy in fishing, cooking, and grilling, sharing these moments with family and friends.
