Ruby Lee Mosley

Ruby Lee Mosley was born August 7, 1941, in Quitman Georgia to the late Rev. Harmon and Mabel Mosley.

Ruby Lee graduated from Booker T. Washington high school in 1959; After graduating high school she relocated to Newark, New Jersey where her sister Gussie Travis was resided.

Ruby married Merrimen Johnson (deceased) in 1965. Together, they had two children, Karen Johnson of Gainesville, Florida, and Reginald Johnson (deceased), while living in New York City. After retiring from the finance department at NBC News, where she worked for many years, she moved from New York to Gainesville, Florida, in 1983 and made it her home for more than 30 years. She also retired from the City of Gainesville in 2013.

After moving to Gainesville, she became a longtime member of Mt. Zion AME Church in Hawthorne, Florida, and later transferred her membership to Mt. Olive AME Church in Gainesville, Florida. 

She is survived by 1 Daughter: Karen Johnson w/Special friend Lisa Bowers (Gainesville FL.) 2 granddaughters: Tiffany Johnson, and Shakira L. Johnson and three great grands Tiondra Young, Lomax Daguizan, Lily Daguizan. Ruby Also leaves a host of niece, nephews who also loved her dearly along with sorrowing friends.
