IN LOVING MEMORY OF NURI ABDULLAH
1953-2025
Nuri Abdullah, a devoted husband, loving father, and spirited entrepreneur, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and unforgettable character. He was a man of deep faith, proud to walk the path as a Fruit of Islam, living his beliefs with conviction and grace.
Born in a small town in Williston, Florida, to his parents Willie Mae Wallace and Ted Clayton. Nuri was the eldest of 5 siblings: Patrick, Wade, Gregory, and Pamela. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, uncles, and aunts, with a special mention of his Aunt Margaret Wallace (Robert) and Uncle Gary.
Nuri was a man who could sell anything — electronics, oils, soft and hard goods, DVDs, and even, as his family lovingly recalls, "the clothes off your back." His gift for connection and conversation made him a natural salesman, but more importantly, it made him a friend to many and a pillar of his community.
He was a lover of the simple joys in life: fishing by the water, exploring new places through travel, dressing sharply with every outfit carefully starched and paired with a touch of fine cologne, enjoying good food, and unwinding with a favorite movie. These weren’t just pastimes—they were his way of celebrating life, often shared with the people he held dearest.
At the heart of Nuri’s world was his beloved wife, Cassandra Abdullah, his partner in life and love. Together, they had six children, Najee, Ameerah, Meranda, Taahirah, Zaakiyah and Tameen, who carry forward his spirit, strength, and laughter. His family was his pride, his joy, and his purpose.
Nuri Abdullah lived life on his own terms — with hustle, heart, and a sharp sense of humor. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and his unforgettable wit and comebacks will continue to guide all who knew him.
May Allah grant him peace and paradise.
