Life Celebration of Maurice Antwain Brown

Mr. Maurice Antwain Brown was born March 29, 1992, in Gainesville, Florida to Linda Brown and Leroy Mitchem. 

During her early years, he attended Bronson Middle/High School, in Bronson, Florida.

Those who loved and knew Maurice, knew his love for family, fishing, riding his motorcycle. Maurice was a genuine and loving person. Through his actions, Maurice showed how much he loved his family and friends, with his frequent visits, calls, and displays of love.  He would often travel the miles back to Levy County from Pinellas County to see a family.

Maurice was a loving father to his children, and they were his greatest joy.

Maurice was employed at Amplex in Clearwater, Florida.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, and you would find him at John Pass, St. Petersburg Pier, Gandy Bridge, or Madera Causeway.  He was a natural born fisherman. 

On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, Maurice transitioned from this earthly life to a place of rest. 

He is preceded in death by his father Leroy Mitchem, grandparents: Willie Brown, Sarah Lockhart-Brown, Louise Mitchem, Lillian Carrie Goldwire, Oliver Brown, Gus Lockhart, and Naomi Lockhart. Aunt: Patricia Mathis. Uncles: Lawrence Brown, and Ricky Brown.

He leaves cherished memories to his mother Linda Brown of St. Petersburg, FL, his loving children: Kapri Brown of Miami, FL., Troy Brown of Chiefland, FL., Arianna Brown, and Sofia Brown both of St. Petersburg, Florida, Sisters: Tesha Little of Wrens, GA., Tomeka Patterson, and Dorothy Mitchem both of Gainesville, FL., Sadie Patterson of St. Petersburg, FL.  Brothers: Aaron Lockhart of Wrens, GA., Leroy Mitchem Jr., Lazarus Mitchem, and Justin Mitchem all of Bronson, FL., Jonathan Mitchem of Gainesville, FL. Aunts: Gloria Rivers of Orlando, Fl., Nancy Mitchem of Oxford, Fl., and LaShanna Brown of Gainesville, FL. Uncles: Willie Brown Jr. (Jeryl) of Trenton, FL, Joseph Brown of Orlando, FL, Richard Mitchem, Russell Mitchem, Jackie Mitchem and Gregory Mitchem, all of Bronson, FL.  Great-Aunts: Catherine Smith of Bronson, Fl., Janice Jackson of Swainsboro, GA. Great Uncles: Lamar Brown of Bronson, Fl., Randall Brown, Calvin Brown, James Brown, Willie Albert Brown all of Swainsboro, GA. Significant Other: Samantha Schrader  of St. Petersburg, Fl.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
