Marie Antionette Fraley

Maria Antoinette Bostick was born on November 26, 1952 to Mack Calhoun Bostick and Eula Lee (Bostick) Conley in Tampa, FL. She grew up in Tampa, FL with her brothers Mack, Ronnie, Monty, and Calvin Bostick on a street called Machado. She attended Middleton High School. While at Middleton, Maria was a 3 year member of the Marching Tiger Drill Team. She was also on the Cyrus Green Park City Swim team. She was known as the life of the party.

After high school, Maria attended the University of South Florida where she received her Bachelor degree in Business Education. She was a member of the Kappa Kittens and the University of South Florida African American Gospel Choir. It was during her time at South Florida that she met Frank Jerome Fraley, and they married after graduation. From their union, they had two sons Frank Alexander Fraley and Mark Anthony Fraley.

Frank and Maria moved to Houston, Texas. While in Texas, Maria worked for U of H, started her own business training school and later became an teacher at McReynolds Middle school. She was highly active in church and served as a cub scout leader. She enjoyed spending time at her grandchildren’s events and taking care of those in need.

Affectionately known as Spicy for her love of spicy foods, her bright red hair, and bringing her spicy spirit to family events. She was loved by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her early morning birthday calls where she would serenade you with the Lord’s Prayer. “Oh Jesus!”

Grandchildren - D’Avion Fraley (Joshua), Donovan Fraley (Amanda) & Desmond Fraley Great-Grandson - Kai Champan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god-children, loved ones and friends.
