OBITUARY
Lataya S. Coleman, born on November 28, 1976, was the beloved daughter of the late Mary Haynes and Earl McRae. She was a devoted member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Williston, FL.
Latoya worked as a teacher from 1996 to 2007 in Alachua and Levy County.
Latoya found joy in fishing, preparing salads, punch bowl cakes, and spending time with friends at cookouts and gatherings. She was the "Clean Up Lady." Toya brought warmth and laughter wherever she went.
Latoya preceded in death by her mother, Mary Haynes and her father, Earl Mcrae, brother, Jeffrey Haynes, and her sister, Shirlan Mcrae.
Latoya leaves behind a loving family and many cherished friends. She is survived by her two sons, Gerald Coleman Jr. and Jeremiah Coleman, as well as her grandchildren, Logan McCray and Kei'lani Coleman. Her brothers, Isreal Primous Jr. and James Mcrae, and her god-brother, Randall Coleman, continue her legacy. Among those who held a special place in her heart are Verdell and Edward Law, whom she considered her special sister and brother; sisters Bernita Appling, Shelia Haynes, and Earnestine Mcrae; godchildren Myresha Lee, Lakeesha Thomas, and Jani Ross; and her dear friend Curtis Bellamy. Latoya was also blessed with a special mother figure, Equillia Cox, and godmothers Wendy Smith and Sandra Monroe. She will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many grieving friends.
