A Time To Be Born:
Landon McBride, II was born on March 27, 1950, in Chiefland, Florida, to the union of Charles and Mildred McBride.
A Time To Learn:
After completing his studies at Lincoln High School in Gainesville, Florida, as a member of the Class of 1961, Landon chose to serve his country by joining the United States Army. During his time in the military, he achieved multiple certifications, including roles as a Ham Operator,Dental Hygienist, and Dental Assistant.
A Time to Live:
Landon worked at both the North Florida Treatment Center and the Evaluation Center located in Gainesville, Florida. He also served as a correctional officer at Florida State Prison in Raiford,Florida. Additionally, Landon was an active member of the Radio Club of America.
A Time to Die:
Landon McBride passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 3:30am, with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren gathered by his side.
A Time To Mourn:
Landon’s legacy is carried forward by his loving family, including Five children: Oni, Landon, and Chiquira McBride, all residing in Gainesville, Florida; Christopher McBride from Alachua, Florida; and Montel McBride from Iowa; by his two siblings: John Lewis McBride (and his fiancée Maggie Suggs) of Reddick, Florida, and Betty Brown of Daytona Beach, Florida; His six grandchildren includes: Querida McBride, Yomi Williams, Jr., Tommy L. Banks III, Tommish Banks, all from Gainesville, Florida; Theriyus Banks from Crawfordville, Florida; and Landon McBride IV from Tampa, Florida. Landon also leaves behind six great-grandchildren: Adrian Banks, Saphira Banks, Tommy Banks, K’mari Jackson, Nathan Baksh, and Jurnee Williams; In addition, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends honoring his memory and love.
