In Loving Memory Of Mr. John C. Jones “Chris”
A TIME TO BE BORN
John C, Jones “Chris” was born to Doris Hunter Jones and Willie Jones, Jr.”(Bill)” on June 05, 1971. He was the youngest of three siblings. Brothers: Kerry Jones(preceded him in death), Eric Jones, and Craig Jones(Carla).
A TIME TO BE EDUCATED
Chris was raised in Chiefland, Florida where he graduated from Chiefland Hight School. He continued his education at Santa Fe Community College and earned as AS Degree in the field of Automotive Technology. Following collage Chris established a new career working with the Department of Interior (US Fish and Wildlife Service) for 15 years as a mechanic and a firefighter. Other responsibilities required for his position was to maintain records of budget, maintenance, and contracted service related to the material assets and properties of the fish & Wildlife Service. Since 1998, Chris has owned and operated a small business, Jones Performance Cycles. Upon his resignation from the Department of Interior, Jones Performance Cycle has become a full -time effort. This specialized business fabricates and modifies motorcycles for racing, which in turn, has garnered him an international customer base built on the merits of integrity and good service. In this pursuit, Jones has built bikes that have captured two AMA National titles and have been featured on television and through several major publications. Chris has had his work featured Super-Street Bike Magazine, Sport-Rider, and Street Fighters, A British based publication. Recently Kawasaki invited Chris to Times Square in New York, New York for a major promotion to unveil the latest Ninja Sports bikes. Among those were a race bike built by Chris Jones for Kawasaki factory backed rider Ricky Gadson. The two went on that year to campaign the new bike and Capture a National Championship. The reputation that Chris has built in the racing community has given him great respect and opportunity to travel all over the Nation, i.e. Aruba, St. Thomas and Puerto Rico promoting his skills. During the past ten years Jones has closely followed local political and actions that impacted our commissioner. The citizens said yes, and now he is a City Commissioner. Chris is now committed to providing service and a voice to the community in which he lives with pride.
A TIME TO BE REMEMBERED
Memories of Chris Jones will forever be cherished in the hearts of his son: Devin C. Jones and Daughter: Christin K. Jones. He also leaves to mourn loving family members, nephews, cousins, and friends.
