James “Jay-Flow” Arnez Flowers Sr. was born to Gwendolyn B. Flowers and John Flowers III.
James Arnez Flowers Sr, husband of Shoshana Frazier-Flowers, quietly and peacefully left Earthly life to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
He was deeply loved and cared for by his family and friends. He was well known throughout the community and the surrounding areas. James attended school in Dade County and Buncombe County, where he later pursued a college degree at Santa Fe College. He then later became a BioMed Technician. James was the life of the party. He loved making people laugh. He also enjoyed cooking and watching his favorite team, Miami Hurricanes, play football.
In 2019, James met his beautiful and beloved Shoshana Frazier. James and Shoshana shared 8 years of love, life, and laughter. “A Happy Wife, A Happy Life” he would always say. In 2021, James and Shoshana said their vows and said, “I Do” .
James Flowers is preceded in death by his sister Tameka Flowers.
James leaves to mourn his loving and devoted wife Shoshana Flowers aka Doll. His 7 children: Kendall “KJ” Flowers, Kyree Flowers, Robert “PJ”Flowers, James Flowers, Jr. (Marisol), Briyana Flowers, Shakece Walker, and Melvin Walker, Jr. 8 grandchildren: Tristan, Messiah, Heaven, Nevaeh, Kyndall, Coi, Remi, and Kahariah. Parents: Gwendolyn B. Flowers and John Flowers III. 2 siblings: Jimmy Flowers and Vivian McPhee. 2 sisters-in-law: Coreen (Marvis) and Markeisha (Anthony). 5 brothers-in-law: Otis, Roger, David Jr, Roosevelt, and Cory (Amber). 2 special cousins: Charlotte and Elise. Special mother-in-law: Jannie Mae Edwards. 2 special nieces: Deja (Dale) and Eboni. 2 special aunts: Doris Jones and Emma Williams. Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
