Genevieve "Jean" Marie Schaeffer

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Genevieve Schaeffer is announcing her transition to Heaven.

Mrs. Geneieve “Jean” M Schaeffer was born on March 26^th 1943, in Philadelphia, PA to John T and Freida Hutchinson.  At the age of 80, she passed peacefully at home, after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by family on December 21^st2023.

Jean is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bruce E Schaeffer, Four children, Kimberley Cox, Tom Cox (Patricia), Mike Cox (Mary), Patricia Seibold (Mike), Two sisters, Betty Barr (Tom), Marie McDuff, Six grandchildren; Kristin Sierens, Kelsey Elkins (Josh), Nichole Cox, Donovan Cox, Katie Cox and Six great grandchildren; Logan Scroggins, Aubrey Sierens, Penelope Sierens, Chandler Elkins, Paxton Oslager, Remi Oslager. 

After retirement as medical records director, Jean enjoyed spending time with family and never missed an opportunity to be present for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s events.

 

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
