A Glimpse Into The Life of Eva Magnolia Robinson

Affectionately Known as “Maxine”

A TIME TO BE BORN: Eva was born October 3, 1949, in Williston, FL to the late Willie Mae Moore and Virgil Moore. She is the eldest granddaughter of the late Eva Stacy (her namesake); and the eldest of four children.

A TIME TO BE EDUCATED: She attended Williston Jr./Sr. High School where she received her general education degree and engaged in extracurriculars such as basketball and home economics. She later attended Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL where she pursued a certification in the academy of criminal justice.

A TIME TO WORSHIP: Eva was a firm believer in Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age. Over her lifetime she has attended and served at several churches including St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church, New Sepulcher, Church of God By Faith all of Bronson, Fellowship Baptist Church of Chiefland, The Pentecostals of Gainesville, Open Door Ministries of Gainesville and New Day Holiness Church of Reddick.

A TIME TO WORK: Eva was an extremely hard working woman who at an early age engaged in employment both in, and out of the home to help support her growing family. She was multifaceted and held various positions throughout her life including housekeeper, caregiver, field hand, crab plant factory worker. She was an amazing cook, once holding the position of head chef at Pantry Pride. She also established and operated a home-based business peddling hand-crafted bathroom décor, and plaster of paris ornaments and figurines.

A TIME TO PLAY: Eva was a die-hard Florida Gator Football fan who enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family (especially her grands). Her favorite past time was thrifting and going to yard & estate sales. She was also an avid poet and storyteller, having published short articles and poems in local newspapers. Her home was a life center in the community and was often filled with those (young and old) who enjoyed listening to her many stories (some factual and some fictional). She enjoyed cooking, crafts, singing, dancing and laughter, and had the best sense of humor. One of her favorite TV shows was The Price is Right, and she was also fond of westerns. Eva never met a stranger and embraced everyone she encountered with generosity and her wittiness. She often became the closest of friends (forever family) with the most random people. She is known for being a true friend, the adopted mom or grandma to many, and a “tell it like it I.S. is” kind of woman.

A TIME TO REST: Eva took her final breath to rest in the care of Jesus on Monday, September 22, 2025, at approximately 8pm, at ET York Hospice Haven in Gainesville, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Mae and Virgil Moore, and brother Thaddeus Jefferson “TJ” Moore.

She will remain in the hearts and minds of those who loved and cherished her forever: Children ~ Henry Robinson, Jr. of Gainesville, Hawiane Tidwell (Anthony) of Ocala, Edgie Brannon (Blaine) of Bronson, Tyrone Robinson of Daytona, Dorian Keith (Benjamin) of Hawthorne, Ericka Jackson (Joshua) of Newberry, Drapril Robinson of Archer, Tromma Robinson (Jasmin) of High Springs, Chandra Smith (Johnny) of Archer and niece Angela Owens (Cory) of Gainesville; God-daughter ~ Stephanis Shanteer Brown; Siblings ~ Wendy Fae Brown (Lemar) of Bronson, and Delphenia “Dorthy” Powell (Eddie) of Chiefland; Lifelong Friends ~ Henry Robinson (ex-husband), Vanessa Greenlee, Dorothy Edwards “Pug”, Barbara Stacy (aunt), Geraldine Johnson, and Mary McCann (cousin). The joys of her life, over 70 grand and great-grandchildren whom she held dear; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, friends, neighbors and “adopted” family members.
