Story of Alfreda’s Life
1961-2023

Alfreda Freeman was born on September 11, 1961, to the late William and Dizzie Parker, in Bronson, FL. Alfreda, best known as “Freda”, was the youngest out of nine children. Alfreda attended school in Bronson, FL., where she attained her GED at the age of 18.

Alfreda met the love of her life, her husband in 1979. The couple were together for 45 years and married for 37 years. The pair were also foster parents for 23 years. They opened up their home with love and care, for children from all different racial backgrounds. In 2012, they decided to retire their services as foster parents.

Alfreda was heavily involved in her community. She worked as a volunteer and was a board member with The Children’s Table food bank, for over 25 years. She also worked as a poll worker during elections for over 15 years.
Alfreda and her family have been church members at Elohim Tabernacle of Praise Ministries since 2003. There she was treasurer and a big part of her church, even while battling through her health crisis. Alfreda loved her church and its community dearly.

Alfreda was a great woman with great power, resources, and with a big abundant heart. Alfreda was a safety net and nurturer to those close to her. Alfreda was called to be with The Lord on December 3rd, 2023 @4:47PM, with her family by her side, at UF Health Heart & Vascular Hospital.
