loving wife  Bettye J. Smith; One Daughter Alesia Smith-Hall (Arthur); One Son Geremiah Perkins (Becky); Two Stepdaughters. Dedrie Godbolt (Jason), and Equilla Collins (Jerrell).

Grandchildren: Bernard Nelson, Cayson Glosson, Nytrell Greenlee, Darrell Richardson (Jessica) Jerman Collins Jylah Collins, and Jade Collins.

Siblings: Mae Helen Gaskins (Kenneth), Evelyn Orozeo (Gilbert), Darrell Smith (Regina), Vanessa Smith, and Author J. Smith.
